We are proud of our reputation for combining high quality practical advice with innovative creative work.
Our overall approach is about understanding complexity and integrated solutions. We see planning as a process of complex problem solving and we integrate analysis and delivery of economic, physical and environmental issues with social and cultural aspects, aiming to combine vision with realism.
We use these skills in the UK and abroad to assist the public and non-governmental sectors in the preparation of Integrated Development Strategies for sustainable urban and rural regeneration and development, and to assist the private sector with Risk Assessment and a smooth passage of planning applications and appeals.
Producing deliverable projects is our main concern. We assist clients to ensure this by planning not just the ‘end product’ of development but by offering advice on a delivery strategy and mechanisms. Often this requires consultation with a wide range of ‘Active Stakeholders’ involved in the approval and delivery of the project and identification of impacts upon particular groups of ‘Recipient Stakeholders. Consultation with all Stakeholders enables us to anticipate problems and to promote mutual understanding and agreement.
Several innovative methodologies with a common theme of integrated planning were developed and applied by our Partners, as a means of working with complex projects. These are: Community Impact Analysis, Integrated Planning and Environmental Assessment, and Dynamic Planning. Our Partners have published extensively on these subjects and have won awards from the Royal Town Planning Institute in the UK for these achievements.
